Podcast
Reflection:
This was an interesting project and definitely a valuable lesson going forward. I think the main thing I will focus on next time will be trying to incorporate video I've recorded alongside images because in this podcast I only used images. I think one of the more difficult parts of this was recording myself while following the script, I've had to do several trials in order to get the right one where I don't stumble over words. There were also some technical difficulties that I had to figure out after looking up how to take care of the problem. Things like exporting issues where the resolution was lower than I thought, the audio I recorded wasn't being accepted (it was the wrong file type), the images were not the right sizes compared to each other, and so on. I'm just glad that I figured out the problems now and I should be able to make a video like this in the future much easier!

Hello everybody! Today I will be sharing my process for how I paint in photoshop. First, I set up my Laptop and plug in my Tablet. After that, I open photoshop and pick the dimensions for my canvas. I like to use 1920x1080 pixels because that is the default HD screen size for TV and Animations. After I click “create” I get my new blank canvas. Before I begin drawing, I save the file, saving the file frequently is important, because you do not want to lose any progress. After saving, I make a rough sketch of my idea. For this piece I am thinking of a chase scene, so I draw rough diagonal lines to suggest motion in my characters. Then, I refine the sketch and I like to separate the characters and the backgrounds, so it’s easier to paint. Next is my favorite part, Coloring. I put down flat colors for the characters and the main components of the background. After this I just keep rendering and painting on top of this roughly colored sketches until… I have my finished painting. And that is how I paint with photoshop. Thank you!
